Summary
The 2024 Winter GOAL Program, Cultural Guards of Durango's Magical History, will occur the first Saturday of February, March and April.
As cultural guards, we will continue creating a book of Illustrations from the stories of Durango's Forgotten Pioneers. Stories in order to preserve the historical significance of Durango. We will be visiting the Elks Lodge in February, the Rochester Hotel in March, and the 1880's Durango High School Building in April. During these trips, students will explore the local art and learn how it helps make a difference in our society.
Taught by Local Artists, students will enjoy illustration techniques, skills in ink drawing and colored inks, and painting with gouache.
Each month, students will learn lessons on leadership by memorable community members of Durango!

GOAL offers young people, ages 11 to 17, regardless of expression or identity, the opportunity to experience art, leadership and art-based opportunities.
