Description

While you can find multiple “definitions” of what an emotion is, the easiest way to think about it is “a natural instinctive state of mind deriving from one's circumstances, mood, or relationships with others”.

But what does that really mean?

Onstage, emotions are a critical part of telling a story. An audience member needs to see what the characters are feeling in order to become engaged in the story being told. And more important than the emotions themselves, is the ability to portray those feelings in a realistic way to an audience.

The goal of the emotion project is to get a better understanding of the basic human emotions and be able to express them in a clear and believable way onstage (or screen).
